No point to own the whole world but lose God in the process.

Amen. That is the ultimate wisdom, spoken by Christ Himself. Here is a poem on that sobering and vital truth.

The Great Exchange

What is the profit, what is the gain, To have the whole world, yet infinite pain? To hold every treasure, every kingdom and throne, But to face that long night utterly alone? “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?”(Matthew 16:26)

To trade the eternal for dust and for clay, To grasp at the moment, while letting Truth slip away. To build a great name that the wind will soon scatter, Forgetting the one thing that eternally matters.

The soul is the vessel that carries us home, The worth of a life, beyond skin and bone. No currency minted by human endeavor Can purchase a soul back or sever The tie that now binds it to darkness and night, For turning its back on the Fountain of Light.

So let me be foolish in the world's clever eyes, And hold to the treasure the world denies. Let me lose the whole world, its applause and its scorn, For the soul that is saved on that glorious morn.

For a soul is the only thing we take from this place, Saved only and wholly by wonderful grace.

Keep my soul, Lord, and make it Your own. The world has no claim;I am Yours, and Yours alone.

Amen.
