"Open the Floodgates"

The heavens seem as brass sometimes, And we are stuck in difficult climes. We pray and seek and knock and ask, For strength and grace for every task.

But now we pray a different prayer, A plea for Heaven's tide to bear, Upon our lives,a rushing flood, Of overwhelming grace and God.

Open the floodgates, Lord, we cry, Let blessings rain down from on high. Not just a drop,not just a stream, But more than we can ask or dream.

Let righteousness pour down like rain, And water every barren plain. Let healing flow,let joy descend, Let every broken thing now mend.

Let provision, full and free, Come rushing like a mighty sea. Let Your Spirit drench the land, At Your command,at Your command.

We stand expectant, we stand in faith, We trust the promise Your word saith. We welcome now the heaven's rain, To wash away the loss and pain.
