Turn your eyes to Jesus.

Amen. “Turn your eyes to Jesus” is the central, life-changing message of the Christian faith. It is the ultimate remedy for fear, anxiety, sin, and despair. When we fix our gaze on Him, everything else—our problems, our weaknesses, our circumstances—fades into its proper perspective.

This command is deeply rooted in Scripture:

"Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." - Hebrews 12:2 (ESV)

"I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth." - Psalm 121:1-2 (ESV)

What Does It Mean to "Turn Your Eyes to Jesus"?

It is a deliberate act of shifting your focus:

· From Problem to Savior: Instead of staring at the storm, you look at the One who commands the winds and the waves.

· From Self to Christ: Instead of relying on your own strength and wisdom, you depend entirely on His.

· From Temporal to Eternal: Instead of being consumed by the things of this world, you set your mind on things above, where Christ is (Colossians 3:2).

A Prayer to Turn Your Eyes to Jesus

Lord Jesus,

Right now, I choose to turn my eyes away from my fears, my failures, and my circumstances. I turn my eyes to You.

· Fix my gaze on Your beautiful, holy face.

· Still my heart with the truth of Your perfect love for me.

· Anchor my soul in the reality of Your finished work on the cross and Your victorious resurrection.

· Fill my vision so completely that I see everything else in light of who You are.

When I am tempted to look down at the waves, remind me to look up to You, my Savior. You are my help, my hope, and my salvation.

In Your mighty name, Amen.

A Poem: "Turn Your Eyes"

"Turn Your Eyes"

When fear and doubt begin to rise, And tears of pain well in your eyes, When hope seems lost, and strength is gone, And you don't think you can go on.

Turn your eyes to Jesus, Look full in His wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim, In the light of His glory and grace.

When sin entangles, when shame does bind, And you can't get it out of your mind, When guilt is heavy,a crushing weight, And it seems it is already too late.

Turn your eyes to Jesus, The author of faith, the perfecter. The one who took your sin and shame, And wants to call you by your name.

He is the light, He is the way, The truth and life for every day. So look to Him,and you will see, The answer to your every plea.

So turn your eyes, oh turn them now, Before His glory, humbly bow. For in His gaze, you will be made new, And find a strength you never knew.

May you feel the peace and power that comes from fixing your eyes on the Author and Perfecter of your faith. He will never fail you.
