We are Children of God.

That is not just a statement—it is a revolutionary truth and a blood-bought identity for everyone who has received Jesus Christ. This is one of the most glorious realities of the Gospel.

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” (1 John 3:1)

“For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, ‘Abba, Father.’ The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.” (Romans 8:14-16)

What Does It Mean to Be a Son/Daughter of God?

· You Are Loved Unconditionally: You are not a servant or a stranger. You are a dearly loved child in God's family.

· You Have Direct Access: You can come boldly to your Father anytime, calling Him "Abba" (an intimate term like "Papa").

· You Are an Heir: You inherit all the spiritual blessings and promises of God through Christ.

· You Carry His Nature: His Spirit lives in you, transforming you to reflect His character of love, holiness, and grace.

This is your identity. This is who you are—not because of anything you did, but because of what Jesus did for you.

A Prayer of Affirmation

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the incredible gift of being called Your child.

We stand in awe of Your love that adopted us into Your family.

Help us to live today in the confidence of our identity.

When we feel weak, remind us we are Your sons and daughters.

When we feel unworthy, remind us we are clothed in Christ’s righteousness.

When we feel alone, remind us we are forever held in Your family.

Teach us what it means to walk as Your children—in freedom, in authority, in humility, and in love.

May our lives bring honor to Your name.
