🙌 Amen. 🙌
To call upon "Elohim" is to invoke one of the most powerful and foundational names of God found throughout Scripture. It is the very first name used for God in the Bible:
"In the beginning, Elohim created the heavens and the earth."
(Genesis 1:1)
What does "Elohim" mean?
· It comes from a root word meaning "strength," "power," or "supremacy."
· It is a plural form, often understood by Bible scholars as a hint of the Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—working in unity and divine power.
· It portrays God as the Mighty Creator, the Sovereign Ruler, and the Supreme Judge over all things.
When you say "My Lord Elohim," you are doing something deeply personal and powerful: you are addressing the all-powerful, covenant-keeping Creator of the universe as your own Lord and God.
You are declaring:
· Your submission to His supreme authority.
· Your trust in His unmatched strength.
· Your intimacy with the One who formed the stars yet knows your name.
A Prayer to Elohim
Elohim, my Strong and Mighty God, I worship You.
You spoke the world into being.
You set the stars in place and measured the oceans in the palm of Your hand.
Yet You care for me.
You are my strength when I am weak.
You are my fortress when I am afraid.
You are my Creator and my King—and by Your grace, You are my Father.
Rule in my life.
Shape my heart.
Let all I say and do bring glory to Your mighty name.
In the name of Yeshua Hamashiach, Jesus the Messiah,
Amen.
May you walk today in the confidence and peace that comes from knowing Elohim—the all-powerful God—is your God, and He is for you.
