Protect us from evil.

Amen. This is a prayer that echoes the very heart of the Lord's Prayer and our daily need for God's covering and deliverance. It is a humble and powerful plea for His divine protection in a broken world.

You are asking for exactly what Jesus taught us to ask for:

“And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” (Matthew 6:13)

God's Promise of Protection

We pray this with confidence because God is our ultimate protector. He is our refuge and our fortress.

“I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’ Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” (Psalm 91:2-4)

“But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

A Prayer for Protection from Evil

Heavenly Father, We come before You,acknowledging our vulnerability and Your supreme power. We live in a world where evil is real, both in the spiritual realm and in the actions of people.

We ask for Your divine protection over us—spirit, soul, and body.

· Guard our minds from the lies, accusations, and deceptions of the evil one.

· Guard our hearts from temptation, hatred, fear, and despair.

· Guard our lives from physical harm, spiritual attack, and any scheme of the devil designed to destroy us.

· Guard our homes and families, and be a wall of fire around all we love.

We put on the full armor of God—the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:10-18). We cover ourselves with the blood of Jesus, our perfect sacrifice and protector.

We take authority over every evil force that would come against us, in the mighty and victorious name of Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Thank you, Lord, that you are our deliverer and our strong tower. We place our trust entirely in You.

In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.

Walk in peace today, knowing that you are heard, you are loved, and you are under the protection of the One who has already overcome the world (John 16:33).
