Blessings since in my mother's womb.

What a beautiful and personal prayer. That is a recognition of God's intimate, lifelong faithfulness. Here is a poem of gratitude for a blessing that began before your first breath.

---

You Have Blessed Me Since My Mother's Womb

Before the world had seen my face,

Or time had found its proper place,

Your hand was there,a gentle loom,

You blessed me in my mother's womb.

You wove my frame, a hidden art,

You wrote my name upon Your heart.

A sacred,secret, quiet space,

A smile of grace upon Your face.

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”(Psalm 139:13-14)

You saw my days, before one came,

Each chapter known, each joy, each shame.

And in Your book,my life was sealed,

A future promise,yet revealed.

“Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”(Psalm 139:16)

The breath You gave, that very first,

To quench my soul’s unending thirst.

The path You set my feet upon,

When all my helpless days were done.

You blessed me with a family’s love,

A glimpse of Your own heart above.

You blessed me with the friends I’ve known,

So I would not walk life alone.

You blessed me with the sun and rain,

With joy to balance out the pain.

You blessed me with a guiding light,

To lead me through the darkest night.

And when I strayed, and chose my way,

You still were there at close of day.

Your blessings chased me,kind and deep,

To wake my soul from sinful sleep.

So let my life a blessing be,

A grateful prayer,returned to Thee.

For from that dark and holy room,

You have blessed me since my mother's womb.

And till I see You face to face,

And finish out this race of grace,

I'll trust the hand that shaped the bloom,

That blessed me in my mother's womb.
