This is one of the most powerful declarations in all of Scripture, a truth that captures the absolute supremacy, authority, and salvation found only in Christ. It is a confession of worship.
Here is a poem and reflection on the name that is above every name.

The Name Above All Names
There is a name the heavens sing, That makes the vault of glory ring. A name that demons fear and flee, The only hope for you and me.
It is not just a sound to make, A label for the spirit’s sake. It is His nature, power, fame, The essence of His holy name.
“Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,”(Philippians 2:9)
Above the names of power and kings, Above the weight of earthly things, Above the titles men hold dear, His name is greater, crystal clear.
Above the name of fear and dread, That haunts the living and the dead. Above the name of sin and shame, That tries to curse and to defame.
“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,”(Philippians 2:10)
The knee of angel, saint, and slave, The knee of king, and warrior brave. The knee of skeptic, cynic, sage, Will bow to Him through every age.
“And every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”(Philippians 2:11)
No other name can save the soul, Can make the wounded sinner whole. No other name can break the chain, Or wash away the guilty stain. “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”(Acts 4:12)
In His name, prayers are heard, In His name, comes the power-filled word. In His name, the sick are healed, The love of God is now revealed.
So let us speak this name with awe, The name above all names we saw— Jesus. The Christ. The Lord. The Great I AM. The spotless, sacrificial Lamb.
The beginning and the end. The sinner’s dearest, closest friend. The King of Kings, the Holy One. Jesus. God’s own beloved Son.

Why is His Name Above All Names?
His name is not merely a title; it represents His character and His victory. It is above all others because:
1. The Name of Salvation: It means "The LORD saves." He alone accomplished what we could not, saving us from sin and death.
2. The Name of Authority: All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Him (Matthew 28:18). Every power, whether spiritual or earthly, ultimately answers to Him.
3. The Name of Revelation: He is the ultimate revelation of God to humanity. "Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father" (John 14:9).
4. The Name We Proclaim: We are commissioned to go into all the world and make disciples, baptizing and teaching in this name (Matthew 28:19).
5. The Name We Pray In: We have access to the Father and we make our requests known in His name (John 16:23-24), meaning we come on the basis of His merit and His finished work.
To say "Jesus is the name above all names" is to declare that He is preeminent, supreme, and unrivaled. It is the highest confession of faith.
