To Green Pastures

Lead me, Shepherd, to the place, Where I can see Your kindly face. Where the grass is green,the water still, A place to rest within Your will. “He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters.”(Psalm 23:2)

Guide me through the valleys deep, Where shadows lurk and dangers creep. But even there,I will not fear, For I know,my Shepherd, You are near.

Lead me from the barren ground, Where worry's thorn and fear are found. Take me to a spacious field, Where Your sweet promises are revealed. “I will feed them in a good pasture, and on the mountain heights of Israel will be their grazing land.”(Ezekiel 34:14)

Let me feast upon Your word, The finest pasture I have heard. Let me drink from streams of grace, In this quiet,holy place.

For You alone know what I need, You alone my soul can feed. So I will follow where You lead, To green pasture,You, my meed.

I trust Your staff, I trust Your rod, You are my Shepherd,You are my God.
