Cover Me

Blood of Jesus, cover me. A shield of grace for all to see. Not my worth,but Yours alone, Around my life,a crimson zone.

Cover my mind from thoughts of fear, From lies I’ve believed,year after year. Cover my heart from pride and sin, Make me brand new,again, within. “The blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.”(1 John 1:7)

Cover my past, its guilt and shame, I speak the power of Your name. Cover my path,ahead, behind, In Your perfect will,let me be defined.

When the enemy speaks and accuses me, I point to the blood that set me free. He cannot stand before its power, In my weakest,darkest hour. “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb.”(Revelation 12:11)

Blood of Jesus, cover me. My plea,my trust, my victory. A sign upon my heart and home, ’Til You,my Lord, finally call me home.

I am covered. I am clean. I am Yours.
