God of Peace

You are the God of Peace, The stillness in the storm. The quiet for the racing heart, The safe and tranquil form. “Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way.”(2 Thessalonians 3:16)

You are the end of conflict, The truce for inner war. The voice that whispers“Peace, be still,” And closes every door That lets the chaos enter in, The worry and the fear— You stand as guard and sentry, Making Your presence near. “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”(Philippians 4:7)

You are the great Reconciler, Who made a way,through blood, To bring us back to friendship, A vast,unending flood Of grace that washes clean the strife, That heals the deepest schism, And plants Your perfect shalom peace Upon this broken prism.

You are not just a peace-bringer, Youare the Peace we need. Our Sabbath rest,our perfect home, From every turmoil freed.

So let Your peace rule in my heart, Let it be my command. I rest in You,my Prince of Peace, Held by Your mighty hand.
