That is a perfect and powerful shift in perspective—from worry about tomorrow to joyful presence in the gift of today. Here is a poem celebrating that truth.

This Day He Made
I will not live in yesterday’s regret, Nor in tomorrow’s anxious, looming debt. Fortoday is the day the Lord has made, A gift of grace, uniquely laid. “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”(Psalm 118:24)
The sun that rose, the breath within my lung, A new beginning, for old songs unsung. His mercies, faithful, did this day precede, For every moment of my present need. “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.”(Lamentations 3:22-23)
So I will live for today, this one, Beneath the kindness of His golden sun. I’ll seek His kingdomnow, with heart and hand, And trust the future to His wise command. “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”(Matthew 6:34)
I’ll love the soul You’ve placed right in my path, I’ll do the work that saves me from Your wrath. I’ll speak the word,I’ll offer up the praise, And walk within the wonder of His ways.
For yesterday is gone, tomorrow’s not my own, Buttoday is a day to know I’m not alone. So let my heart rejoice, let my spirit be glad, In the beauty ofthis day my Father has had.
Amen.
