Let Heaven Rejoice

Let heaven rejoice with a thunderous voice! Let the cosmos itself in triumph explode! For the battle is won,the Victor is known, And the weight of His glory is fully bestowed!

Let the angels who witnessed creation’s first dawn, Who have known His full splendor since time first began, Lift praises unending,a crystalline sea, For the completion of His great redemption plan. “Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: ‘To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!’”(Revelation 5:13)

Let the stars sing for joy in their galaxies spun, Let the mountains crash cymbals,exulting and grand, For the Lamb that was slain has now taken His throne, And is holding His own in the palm of His hand.

Let the martyrs rise up in a jubilant cry, Let the saints through the ages all join in the song, For the story is finished,the ending is sure, And the right has prevailed over every wrong. “Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, ‘The Lord reigns!’”(1 Chronicles 16:31)

Let my own heart, now tuned to the music above, Find its place in this chorus,so mighty and vast. For the reason for joy is not circumstance,but this: Our God reigns forever!This joy will hold fast.

Let Heaven Rejoice! For the King has come home, And He brings us,His ransomed, to be with Him there. Hallelujah!Amen! Let the universe shout! For our God—He is with us,beyond all compare.
