You are the Great I Am

 Amen. That is the most profound and all-encompassing name of God, revealing His eternal, self-existent, and sovereign nature. Here is a poem in awe of the Great I AM.

The Great I AM

Before the “was,” before the “is,” Before all time and space, You simplyare. The great I AM, The holy,dwelling place.

You are the breath behind all life, The source of every name. The burning bush that is not consumed, The everlasting flame. “God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: “I AM has sent me to you.”’”(Exodus 3:14)

You are the bread when I am hungry, The light upon my way. You are the door,the vine, the truth, You are my yesterday, My present help,my future hope, The one who stays the same. “Jesus said to them, ‘Very truly I tell you, before Abraham was born, I am!’”(John 8:58)

I AM the resurrection. I AM the good shepherd’s care. I AM the way,the life, the truth, The answer to each prayer.

You need no past to justify, No future to complete. You are the fullness of all things, In You,I am complete.

You are the center and the circle, The beginning and the end. My Savior,and my dearest Friend.

You are the great I AM. And I am Yours.
