Please forgive my sin and inequity.

This is the humble and honest prayer that opens the door to grace. Here is a response, a prayer of confession and receipt of forgiveness.

Forgive My Sin

I come to You with bowed-down head, With words of sorrow,softly said. I lay my sin and inequity Bare before You,for You to see. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”(1 John 1:9)

I have no plea, no good to claim, No worthy deed to speak my name. I only trust the crimson flood That poured from out Your saving blood. “God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”(Romans 5:8)

Let mercy flow, a cleansing tide, Where all my hidden faults abide. Wash me till I am whiter than snow, And let Your healing waters flow. “Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin!”(Psalm 51:2)

Now, by Your promise, I believe, And in Your grace,I do receive The full forgiveness You have won— The battle fought,the victory done.

You lift my head, You call me clean, No more to be what I have been. Restored,renewed, and set apart, By Your great mercy,O loving Heart.

Thank you, Father. Thank you, Son. Thank you,Spirit. It is done.
