Spirit of the Sovereign Lord, rest upon me now.

Come in the stillness,come in the power, come as You know how.

You are the promised gift,the seal, the holy flame,

The one who bears the sovereign power of God’s own name.

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me… (Isaiah 61:1)

You are the breath that hovered over chaos at the dawn,

Thewind that shook the place where waiting hearts were drawn.

You are thefire that burns yet does not consume the soul,

Thedove that marks the beloved and makes the broken whole.

Come as my Comforter when I have no words to pray.

Come as my Teacher,guide me in the truth today.

Come as my Powerwhen my own strength is gone.

Come as my Advocateand make Your will my own.

Search me and know me; where I’m bound, bring liberty.

Where I am barren,grow Your fruit for all to see.

Take this ordinary vessel,set apart for sacred use,

And fill it with Your presence,with Your grace infuse.

And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees… (Ezekiel 36:27)

I yield. I surrender. I open every door.

Spirit of the Sovereign Lord,I ask You now to pour.

Not for my glory,but for Yours alone,

Until my life makes this great truth to all the nations known.

Come.

Rest upon me.

Anoint me.

Have Your way.
