Spirit of Sovereign Lord.

 Spirit of the Sovereign Lord, I welcome You now.

Come as You did upon the Messiah, anointing Him for His holy task.

Anoint me afresh in this hour.

Rest upon me.

Clothe me with power for the purpose You have prepared.

Pour over me the oil of joy and the garment of praise.

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news...” (Isaiah 61:1)

Where there is bondage, proclaim Your liberty through me.

Where there is brokenness,bring Your healing through my hands.

Where there is despair,let me be a planter of Your hope.

Take my life as Your own and use it for the display of Your splendor.

Spirit of the Sovereign Lord, be my Teacher. Guide me into all truth.

Be myComforter. Still every anxious thought.

Be myPower. Enable me to live as a child of God.

Let every part of my being—my thoughts, my words, my actions—become a temple for Your sovereign rule. I yield to You now. Have Your way.

Bless me, Spirit of God, that I might be a blessing.
