In Christ Alone
In Christ alone my hope is found—
He is my light,my strength, my song.
This cornerstone,this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease:
My comforter,my all in all—
Here,in the love of Christ, I stand.
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)
In Christ alone, who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe.
Gift of the Father's love and grace,
Scorned by the ones He came to save.
'Til on that cross,as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied—
For every sin on Him was laid:
Here,in the death of Christ, I live.
There, in the ground, His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain.
Then,bursting forth in glorious day,
Up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory,
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me:
For I am His,and He is mine—
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17)
No guilt in life, no fear in death—
This is the power of Christ in me.
From life's first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell,no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand.
'Til He returns or calls me home,
Here,in the power of Christ, I stand.
In Christ alone.
My hope. My righteousness. My all.
Amen.

The Sole Foundation
This declaration captures the exclusive sufficiency of Jesus Christ for salvation, life, and eternity.
· Our Only Salvation: The Bible is clear that forgiveness and right standing with God come exclusively through faith in Jesus Christ (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). He alone is the mediator (1 Timothy 2:5).
· Our Present Identity: To be "in Christ" is to be a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). Our identity, security, and purpose are now found in union with Him.
· Our Eternal Security: Because our salvation is secured by His finished work and not our own, we have an unshakable hope. Nothing can separate us from His love (Romans 8:38-39).
This is the heart of the gospel: that God did for us in Christ what we could never do for ourselves. It is a truth for both humble repentance and triumphant praise.
