My Refuge. My Strength.

 My Refuge and Strength

You are my refuge and my strength.

Not a distant shelter I must strive to reach,

But my present hiding place,Your presence my sure beach.

When the ground of certainty gives way to shifting sand,

You are the solid rock on which I firmly stand.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1)

You are my refuge—my fortress in the storm,

Where fear is disarmed and my weary soul is warm.

A tower stronger than the threat that howls outside,

Where in the shadow of Your wings,I safely can abide.

You are my strength—when my own is spent and gone,

When the battle is too fierce for me to carry on.

Your power finds its perfect moment in my need,

Your grace sufficient,Your promise my guaranteed creed.

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. (Psalm 18:2)

So I will not fear, though the mountains fall away,

Though the oceans roar and all familiar landmarks sway.

For the Lord Almighty is with me,here and now.

The God of angel armies holds me—this is my vow.

My refuge. My strength.

My ever-present help.

My song in the night.

My all in all.

Amen.
