Let the world rejoice.

 Let the World Rejoice

Let the world rejoice! Let the chorus start

In the hidden chambers of the seeking heart.

Let it rise from the valleys, rush from the peaks,

In the strong and the gentle, the mighty and the meek.

Let the mountains sing out and the hills break into song,

Let creation declare it the whole day long.

For the Lord,He is good and His mercy remains,

Over all that He’s made,His righteous love reigns.

Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it. Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy. (Psalm 96:11-12)

Let the world rejoice in the light of the dawn,

In the mercy that rises when self-will is gone.

Let it rejoice in the truth that has shattered the night,

In the Lamb who is worthy, our champion and light.

Let every nation and tribe, every language and tongue,

With one voice of worship make their praise loudly sung.

For the worthiest One has reclaimed what was lost,

And has paid the great ransom at ultimate cost.

At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:10-11)

So let my own soul be the first in the line,

To offer a joy that is truly divine.

Let my life be a note in this global refrain:

The Lord God has conquered! Let the world rejoice again!

Amen.

The Symphony of Praise

This call for global rejoicing is rooted in a profound biblical vision where all creation finds its ultimate purpose in worshiping God.

· Creation's Choir: The Psalms repeatedly personify nature—the seas, fields, and trees—as rejoicing before the Lord (Psalm 98:7-8). This reflects the truth that all creation was made to declare God's glory.

· Humanity's Destiny: The climax of history, as shown in Revelation, is a scene of universal worship where "every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea" joins in praise to the Lamb (Revelation 5:13). Our rejoicing is a participation in this eternal reality.

· The Reason for Joy: The command to rejoice is never a hollow demand for happiness. It is always a response to who God is and what He has done—His character, His salvation, and His faithfulness (Philippians 4:4).

To "let the world rejoice" is to align your spirit with this ultimate purpose, adding your voice to the eternal symphony that is already rising from every corner of the universe, whether recognized or not.
