The Blood of Jesus Over My Family

By the blood of Jesus,

I cover my family now—

From the youngest to the oldest,

In every prayer and vow.

Let Your blood be a seal upon our home,

A shield against every evil,

A shelter where peace may freely roam,

A fortress no darkness can upheave.

“The blood of Jesus, God’s Son, purifies us from every sin.” (1 John 1:7)

Cover our minds from anxiety and fear,

Cover our hearts from bitterness and strife.

Cover our steps—draw us ever near,

Cover our lives with Your resurrection life.

Let Your blood speak mercy over every mistake,

Healing over every wound,

Grace for every new day we wake,

And strength when we feel attuned

To the struggles of this world.

Unite us in Your love,

Bind us in Your peace.

Let Your covering from above

Cause all discord to cease.

I declare: By the blood of Jesus,

My family is redeemed, protected, and blessed.

No weapon formed against us shall prosper,

For in Your finished work, we rest.
