Day of Elijah

 Amen.

The Day of Elijah speaks of a prophetic turning point—a day of fire, decision, and restoration. It points both to the powerful ministry of the prophet Elijah and to the promise of a coming “Elijah” who would prepare the way for the Lord. Here is a meditation on that pivotal day.

---

The Day of Elijah

It was a day of fire from heaven,

A day when doubt was rent and riven.

When prophets of Baal cried out in vain,

And God made His holy power plain.

“Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench.”(1 Kings 18:38)

It was a day of drought and rain,

Of breaking bondage,breaking chain.

When a single voice,surrendered, bold,

Proclaimed the truth that never grows old.

But there is another Day of Elijah yet—

A day of turning,without regret.

When hearts of fathers to children return,

And for holy passion the people yearn.

“See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents.”(Malachi 4:5-6)

That spirit came in John’s fierce cry,

Preparing hearts for the Lord Most High.

And it comes again where truth is proclaimed,

In the Spirit’s power,in Jesus’ name.

So let this be our day of Elijah—

A day of courage,no longer shy.

A day to rebuild what’s broken down,

A day to wear the prophet’s crown

Of humility and burning zeal,

To speak God’s truth and make it real.

For the God of Elijah still sends fire,

To answer doubt and lift us higher.

Still calls His people to stand and say,

“The Lord,He is God. Choose Him today.”

May we see the Day of Elijah break anew,

In our hearts, our homes, in all we do.

Amen.
