The battle belongs to God.

Not to my strength, my plan, or my might,

But to the Lord who goes before me to fight.

When fear shouts loud and the enemy seems near,

I will remember—this battle is Yours, Lord, here.

“Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.”(2 Chronicles 20:15)

I will not strive in my own power today,

But kneel in prayer, and trust, and obey.

I will raise a shout of praise as my sword,

And watch You triumph, victorious Lord.

You are Jehovah Sabaoth—Lord of Hosts,

Commander of heaven’s triumphant posts.

You hold the outcome in Your hand,

And all of heaven moves at Your command.

So I lay down my armor of pride and fear,

And take up the weapon of worship sincere.

I stand still and see Your salvation unfold,

As the story of heaven over my story is told.

The battle belongs to God.

Therefore, I will be still.

I will trust.

I will praise.

And I will see His will.

Hallelujah! The victory is Yours—

Now, forever, and always secure.
