Amen. The Blood of the Lamb is the cornerstone of our redemption—the price paid, the stain cleansed, the victory won. Here is a poem honoring that sacred, powerful blood.
---
The Blood of the Lamb
No stain so deep, no guilt so grim,
No shadow vast,no weight of sin,
That can resist the cleansing flood
That flows fromthe Blood of the Lamb.
“The blood of Jesus his Son purifies us from all sin.”(1 John 1:7)
It speaks a word, a better word,
Than all the accusations heard.
It does not beg,it does not plead,
It states the truth:“Ransomed! Freed!”
“You were redeemed... with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.”(1 Peter 1:18-19)
It is the mark upon the door,
When judgment passes,to adore.
It is the seal upon the scroll,
That opens heaven for the soul.
“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.”(Revelation 12:11)
It is the current in the river,
That flows from the side of the Life-Giver.
It is the fountain,ever new,
That makes the sinner white, makes them new.
Oh, precious blood, of priceless cost,
To rescue all that once was lost.
No other plea,no other name,
No other hope,no other claim.
The Blood of the Lamb.
My only boast.
My shelter.
My victory.
Amen.
