Thank You for loving me.

When I was unlovely, unseen, and lost,

You loved me at such a cost.

Not because I earned it, not because I could,

But because You are love, and Your love is good.

Thank You for loving me when I wandered away,

For meeting me still at the end of the day.

For seeing the worst and calling me best,

For offering my weary soul Your rest.

Thank You for a love that will not let me go,

A love that melts my winter’s snow.

A love that heals, that holds, that stays,

That turns my darkest nights to days.

I did nothing to deserve this kind of grace,

Yet I see it in the mercy on Your face.

So I receive it now, with awe and with wonder,
