Show Me Your Will

Show me Your will in my life, O Lord,

Not just the destination,but each step toward.

Unveil the purpose You shaped me to fill,

The work of Your hands,the bend of Your will.

“Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.”(Psalm 143:10)

When choices stretch out, a bewildering maze,

And I’m caught between options,in a worried haze,

Speak to my spirit,steady my sight,

Be my bright pillar of cloud and of light.

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”(Psalm 119:105)

If Your will is a door, then give me the key,

If it’s a journey,then walk here with me.

If it requires a waiting,then teach me to rest,

Knowing Your timing,Your way, is the best.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”(Proverbs 3:5-6)

Align my desires with the beat of Your heart,

From any selfish ambition,let me depart.

Let my“yes” be ready, my spirit be still,

To listen,to follow, to trust, and fulfill.

Not my will, but Yours, be done in this life,

Through joy and through struggle,through peace and through strife.

I offer the pen;author the story.

Reveal in me Your will and Your glory.
