I will be still.

I will quiet the noise within,

I will let the churning cease to spin.

I will halt the frantic pace,

And rest here in this holy space.

Because You are God.

Not a helper.Not a force.

But the Sovereign,the Source.

The Beginning and the End,

My Maker,my Defender, my closest Friend.

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”(Psalm 46:10)

Therefore, I will be still—

Not in despair,but in surrender.

Not in weakness,but in the strength

That comes from acknowledging at length

That You are God.

And if You are God,

Then I am not.

My plans can wait,my fears can stop.

My need to know,my need to do,

All find their peace,Lord, in You.

I will be still.

You are God.

That is enough.
