Bring Me to Your Holy Blessings
Not to the treasure that rust can decay,
Nor the swift brilliance that fades in a day,
Not to the cistern that soon will run dry—
Bring me to blessings that reign from on high.
Open my eyes to the things You call blessed:
The poor in their spirit, the weary who rest.
Bring me to thirst for the righteousness found
In the deep print of Your feet on the ground.
Bring me where mercy is water and bread,
Where the pure in heart see You,as You said.
Count me among those who mourn and are meek,
Who turn the other cheek, who seek and who seek.
Bring me, through Christ, to the inheritance store—
The spiritual blessing that lasts evermore.
Seal me with promise,an heir by Your grace,
Till I behold You,and stand face to face.
Lead me beside the still waters You keep,
To lie in green pastures, to feed on Your sheep.
Bring me to blessings wrapped in a command,
To open my hands in this hungry land.
For giving is gaining;in losing, I find
The measure of heaven, pressed down, flowing kind.
Make me a channel, a conduit, a stream,
To carry Your blessing where hopelessness dreams.
And when the way narrows, and sorrow draws near,
Bring me that blessing—the knowledge You’re here.
For even the valley where shadows are cast
Is hallowed and blessed if You walk it at last.
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort and guide;
In You, even suffering is sanctified.
So bring me, O Father—through Jesus, the Way—
To blessings that dawn on eternity’s day.
Where every tear dried, every wound fully healed,
Is the ultimate blessing Your love has revealed.
Bring me, my Shepherd, to dwell in Your house,
Where blessing is breath, and love is my spouse.
