Guide My Path, Lord
O Lord, my Maker, hold my hand,
And guide my steps through shifting sand.
My own eyes see a tangled way,
My mind would plan from day to day,
But You alone know end from start—
In all my ways, Lord, guide my heart.
I will not lean on what I know,
For human wisdom’s light is low.
Instead,in every thought and choice,
I’ll listen for Your steady voice.
I’ll trust in You with all my soul,
And You will make my pathway whole.
Your Word—a lamp unto my feet,
A steady,strong, and holy beat
That cuts the darkness, shows the ground
Where firm and faithful steps are found.
A light upon the narrow way,
That leads to everlasting day.
When crossroads come and choices press,
In quietness and prayerfulness,
Direct my will,correct my sight,
And turn me toward the truer Light.
Say to my soul, “This is the way,”
And I will walk in it today.
And if the way grows steep or dim,
I will not fear, for I walk with Him
Who led His people through the sea,
Who walks this very path with me.
For You are good, Your way is right;
You turn our darkness into light.
So guide my path, O Shepherd true,
Till all my journey leads to You.
My future rests within Your hand,
Upon Your promise I now stand.
Lead me beside the streams of grace,
Until I see You face to face.
