Like a Little Child

Have faith like the little one,

Who has not learned to doubt.

Who takes the hand held out to them,

And never fears the route.

The child does not question the father's strength,

Nor calculate the risk.

They simply trust and leap with joy,

And hold on to his fist.

Have faith like the little one,

Who does not need to see

The whole plan laid out before them—

Just "Come, follow Me."

No pride, no pretense, no disguise,

Just open, honest need.

A heart that runs with open arms,

And plants a trusting seed.

Oh, Lord, may I become like that—

Small in my own eyes.

Not wise in my own understanding,

But trusting in Your lies.

For the kingdom belongs to such as these,

The humble and the small.

So give me faith like a little child,

And I will give You my all.

Scripture for Childlike Faith

The Kingdom Belongs to Such as These:

"Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:3-4)

Let the Little Children Come:

Lord Jesus,

Teach me to have faith like a little child.

Not childish, but childlike—

full of trust, wonder, and simplicity.

Help me to stop relying on my own understanding,

to stop calculating every risk,

to stop demanding to see the whole picture.

Instead, let me take Your hand

and follow where You lead,

without fear,

without doubt,

without pride.

Let me come to You

as a child comes to a loving father—

running, open, honest,

expecting good.

Give me the faith that simply believes

that You are good,

that You are with me,

that You have a plan.

And let my small, trusting faith

bring glory to Your great name.
