Holy Spirit, Come to my Life.

Holy Spirit, Come to My Life

A Reflection on John 14:16-17, Romans 8:11, and Acts 2:4

Holy Spirit, come to my life—not as a visitor who stays the night,

But as the permanent, indwelling presence, the everlasting light.

Come into my mind, renew my thoughts, dispel the lies I’ve known.

Come into my heart, melt the stone, and make my heart Your throne.

“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever—the Spirit of truth.” (John 14:16-17)

Come into my words—let them speak of grace, not harm.

Come into my hands—let them serve, protect, and warm.

Come into my home, my family, my quiet, secret space.

Let Your fruit of love and joy transform this fallen place.

I am an empty vessel waiting to be filled with holy fire.

I am dry and thirsty ground, longing for Your rain’s desire.

Come, O Spirit of the living God, and breathe on me anew.

Let every dead thing rise in me, and make my spirit true.

And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies. (Romans 8:11)

I welcome You—not with fear, but with open, eager arms.

Guard me from the enemy, protect me from all harms.

Holy Spirit, come to my life today, and every day.

Lead me, fill me, use me, Lord. I trust You. Come and stay.

All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. (Acts 2:4)

Amen.
