Peace unto my Life.

 Peace Unto My Life

A Reflection on John 14:27, Philippians 4:7, and Isaiah 26:3

Peace unto my life—not as the world gives,

Not a fragile truce that shatters when trouble lives.

Not a temporary calm that depends on circumstance,

But the deep, abiding stillness of a heart that trusts Your plan.

“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)

Peace unto my mind—when anxious thoughts take flight,

When fear whispers in the darkness and steals away the night.

Let Your perfect love cast out every dart,

And let the stillness of Your presence quiet my racing heart.

Peace unto my spirit—in the chaos and the calm,

In the waiting and the wrestling, in the suffering and the psalm.

Let the Prince of Peace rule in me, calming every storm,

And wrapping me in quietness, safe and secure and warm.

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You. (Isaiah 26:3)

Peace unto my relationships—where words have cut and bruised,

Where forgiveness seems impossible and old wounds are abused.

Let the peace of Christ arbitrate, healing every breach,

And let me be a peacemaker, loving as You teach.

Peace unto my home, my going out, my coming in.

Let Your shalom be the atmosphere where every day begins.

Not the absence of the storm, but the presence of the One

Who says, “Peace, be still,” and makes the raging cease.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)

So I receive Your peace—not as a feeling, but as a fact.

Not because my life is ordered, but because You have my back.

Peace unto my life, O Lord—today, tonight, always.

Your peace is my anchor, my shelter, my unending praise.

Amen.
