Holy Spirit, Bless My Life
A Reflection on Ephesians 3:16, John 14:26, and Galatians 5:22-23
Holy Spirit, bless my life—not with riches, not with fame,
But with the gentle fruit that glorifies Your name.
Bless me with love that never fails, with joy that sings through pain,
With peace that calms the raging storm, with patience in the strain.
I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being. (Ephesians 3:16)
Bless me with kindness, goodness, faith that does not shrink,
With gentleness that bends to lift, with self‑control to think
Before I speak or act or choose. Let every moment be
A vessel of Your presence, Lord, flowing fresh and free.
Bless the work of my hands, the words upon my tongue.
Bless the songs I lift to You, the prayers I leave unsung.
Bless my family, my home, my rest, my going out and in.
Let Your Spirit be the atmosphere where every day begins.
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. (John 14:26)
Holy Spirit, bless my life—not for my selfish gain,
But that Your beauty, grace, and power in my life may reign.
Fill me fresh this very hour, and let Your fruit increase—
The harvest of a soul that lives in everlasting peace.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self‑control. (Galatians 5:22-23)
Bless me, Lord. I yield to You.
Holy Spirit, make me new.
Amen.
