I submit in the name of Jesus.

I Submit in the Name of Jesus

A Declaration of Surrender from James 4:7, Romans 10:9, and Philippians 2:10-11

I submit in the name of Jesus—not in weakness or in fear,

But in the power of the One who conquered death and drew me near.

I bow my will, my heart, my plans, my every secret thought.

The name above all names has spoken, and my freedom has been bought.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)

In the name of Jesus, I lay down my pride,

Every selfish ambition, every place I used to hide.

I surrender my future, my family, my finances, my health.

The name of Jesus is my refuge, my immeasurable wealth.

I submit my mind—renew it with Your truth.

I submit my heart—restore the joy of my youth.

I submit my hands—let them serve and heal and bless.

I submit my feet—to walk in holiness.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

The enemy must flee when I speak this mighty name.

Every chain of bondage shatters; every shadow flees in shame.

For at the name of Jesus, every knee must bow,

In heaven, on earth, under the earth—and I am making my vow

To live submitted, not defeated, not afraid,

Because the name of Jesus has my ransom fully paid.

So I submit—not to a tyrant, but to a King of love.

I lift my hands, I bow my head, I look to You above.

I submit in the name of Jesus—now and every day.

Your will be done. Your kingdom come. I trust You, Lord. I obey.

At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth. (Philippians 2:10)

Amen.
