Jesus protect me from evil.

 Jesus, Protect Me from Evil

A Reflection on Matthew 6:13, 2 Thessalonians 3:3, and Psalm 121:7

Jesus, protect me from evil—not from trials that make me strong,

But from the evil one who whispers lies and sings his siren song.

Guard my mind, my heart, my home, my going out and in.

Let Your name be my strong tower, my refuge from all sin.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. (Matthew 6:13)

Protect me from the enemy's schemes—his arrows, his deceit,

His plans to steal my joy and cause my weary soul to retreat.

He prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour,

But greater is the One in me—I rest in Your strong tower.

When the night is dark and shadows creep, when fear begins to rise,

Wrap me in Your peace, Lord; shield me with Your watchful eyes.

Let Your angels camp around me, guarding every side.

In the shelter of Your presence, I will safely hide.

But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

Protect my mind from doubting lies, my heart from bitter roots,

My hands from deeds that bring You shame, my feet from evil pursuits.

Cover my family, my home, my work, my rest, my prayer.

Let the blood of Jesus be the covering that I wear.

So I place my life into Your hands—the hands that bear the scar.

You faced the tempter in the wilderness and won the cosmic war.

No weapon formed against me shall prosper, no darkness overcome.

Jesus, protect me from evil—in Your victory, I am home.

The Lord will keep you from all harm—He will watch over your life. (Psalm 121:7)

Amen.
