Hold me Close to you.

This is the tenderest cry of a child's heart. After asking for His presence to abide, you now ask for something even more intimate—to be drawn near, to feel the warmth of His embrace, to be held close.

"Hold me close."

The Scripture That Reveals His Heart:

Isaiah 40:11: "He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young."

Deuteronomy 33:12: "Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders."

Psalm 89:1: "I will sing of the Lord's great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations."

Zephaniah 3:17: "The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing."

What It Means to Be Held Close:

· It is safety. In His arms, no enemy can reach you. No accusation can touch you. No fear can shake you.

· It is intimacy. Not just near Him, but close enough to hear His heartbeat. Close enough to feel His breath.

· It is rest. You stop striving. You stop performing. You simply rest in the embrace of the One who loves you most.

· It is identity. When you are held close by the King, you know whose you are. You are loved. You are chosen. You are His.

· It is healing. His embrace mends the broken places. It soothes the aching heart. It binds up the wounds that no one else can see.

A Prayer of Surrender:

"Abba, Father,

Hold me close.

The world is loud and demanding.

The storms rage around me.

My heart grows weary from trying to be strong.

But in Your arms,

I am safe.

In Your embrace,

I am home.

Hold me close when I am afraid.

Hold me close when I am lonely.

Hold me close when I doubt Your love.

Hold me close when I cannot hold on myself.

Let me feel the rhythm of Your heart—

steady, faithful, never stopping.

Let me rest between Your shoulders,

carried by strength not my own.

I am Your child.

You are my Father.

And there is no place I would rather be

than close to You.

Hold me close, Lord.

Hold me close.

In Jesus' name,

Amen."

The Promise of His Embrace:

The same God who spoke galaxies into existence, who thunders from heaven, who sits enthroned above the cherubim—this God bends down to hold you close.

You are not just a servant in His household. You are not just a soldier in His army. You are not just a subject in His kingdom.

You are His beloved child, and He holds you close to His heart.

When you cannot feel Him, He is still holding you.

When you wander, He gathers you back.

When you are weak, He carries you.

Rest in His arms today. You are held. You are loved. You are safe.
