 Here is a prayerful poem and a collection of scriptures invoking the covering and protection of the precious blood of Jesus.

Covered by the Blood

Blood of Jesus, cover me,

From the crown down to my feet.

Every wound, every fear,

Let Your healing power draw near.

Blood of Jesus, seal my soul,

Make my broken spirit whole.

Every lie the enemy brings,

Silence now beneath Your wings.

Blood of Jesus, shield my heart,

When the arrows fiercely dart.

Every scheme, every plot,

By Your blood, they come to naught.

Blood of Jesus, guard my mind,

When confusion tries to bind.

Every thought that brings despair,

Let Your peace be planted there.

Blood of Jesus, cleanse me through,

Wash me white, make me new.

Every stain, every sin,

Washed away and not within.

Blood of Jesus, over my home,

Let no enemy ever roam.

Over those I love so dear,

Let Your covering draw them near.

Blood of Jesus, over my way,

Through the night and through the day.

Every step, every breath,

Safe beneath Your covering, blessed.

For the blood that never fails,

Over sin and death prevails.

Blood of Jesus, rich and free,

Come in power and cover me.

Scripture for the Covering Blood

The Blood Speaks:

"And to Jesus, the Mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks [of mercy], a better and nobler and more gracious message than the blood of Abel [which cried out for vengeance]." (Hebrews 12:24, AMP)

The Blood as Protection:

"The blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you live; when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt." (Exodus 12:13, NASB) — the first covering of the blood.

Redeemed by the Blood:

"In Him we have redemption [that is, our deliverance and salvation] through His blood, [which paid the penalty for our sin and resulted in] the forgiveness and complete pardon of our sins, in accordance with the riches of His grace." (Ephesians 1:7, AMP)

Cleansed from All Sin:

"But if we walk in the Light, as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin." (1 John 1:7, AMP)

Overcome by the Blood:

"And they overcame him and conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death." (Revelation 12:11, AMP)

The Blood of the Covenant:

"For this is My blood of the [new and better] covenant, which [ratifies the agreement and] is being poured out for many [all who trust Me] for the forgiveness of sins." (Matthew 26:28, AMP)

Access by the Blood:

"Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus." (Hebrews 10:19)

Peace Through the Blood:

"And through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven." (Colossians 1:20, AMP)

Justified by His Blood:

"Therefore, since we have now been justified [declared free of the guilt of sin] by His blood, [how much more certain is it that] we will be saved from the wrath of God through Him." (Romans 5:9, AMP)

The Precious Blood:

"But with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb unblemished and spotless." (1 Peter 1:19, AMP)

He Loves Us and Freed Us:

"And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and has released us from our sins by His blood." (Revelation 1:5, AMP)

Near by the Blood:

"But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were [so] far away [from God] have been brought near by the blood of Christ." (Ephesians 2:13, AMP)

The Blood That Purifies:

"How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" (Hebrews 9:14, AMP)

The Blood of the Lamb:

"They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because He is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with Him will be His called, chosen and faithful followers." (Revelation 17:14) — His blood is the victory.

A Prayer for the Blood Covering

Lord Jesus,

I come under the covering of Your precious blood.

The blood that was shed for me on Calvary,

The blood that speaks mercy over my life,

The blood that cleanses me from all sin.

Cover me now, from head to toe.

Cover my mind—guard my thoughts.

Cover my heart—guard my emotions.

Cover my body—guard my health.

Cover my home—guard my family.

Cover my going out and my coming in.

Let the blood of Jesus be a shield around me,

A wall of fire that no enemy can cross.

Let it be the sign upon my life

That I belong to You,

Redeemed, forgiven, and safe.

Thank You for Your blood,

For the price You paid,

For the victory You won.
