Hallelujah

Here is a new song of praise and a collection of scriptures celebrating the eternal cry of "Hallelujah."

---

The Eternal Cry

Hallelujah—let it rise,

From grateful hearts and lifted eyes.

A single word, yet all complete,

The anthem of the mercy seat.

Hallelujah—in the dawn,

When shadows flee and light is born.

When morning paints the sky with gold,

This praise shall never grow old.

Hallelujah—in the night,

When stars are scattered, burning bright.

When sleep is far and fears draw near,

This praise dispels the dark with cheer.

Hallelujah—for the cross,

Where Love endured the deepest loss.

Where Jesus bled, where Jesus died,

Hallelujah—He is glorified.

Hallelujah—empty grave,

The King of kings has come to save.

He rose in power, He rose in might,

Hallelujah—He is the Light.

Hallelujah—through the years,

Through every joy, through every tear.

In every season, every place,

Hallelujah—song of grace.

Hallelujah—saints have sung,

When time began and earth was young.

And when this age has passed away,

Hallelujah—we will stay.

Hallelujah—round the throne,

With countless hearts, before the Son,

We'll join the chorus, ever new—

Hallelujah, forever true.

A Prayer of Hallelujah

Lord God Almighty,

I lift my voice with all who have gone before,

with all who stand beside me,

and with all who will come after.

Hallelujah—for who You are.

Hallelujah—for what You have done.

Hallelujah—for Your unfailing love.

Hallelujah—for Your faithfulness.

Hallelujah—for the cross that saves.

Hallelujah—for the empty grave.

Hallelujah—for Your presence now.

Hallelujah—for the hope of glory.

Let this praise rise as incense before You,

a sweet aroma from a grateful heart.

Hallelujah, forever and always.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
