Behold! The lamb of God.

Here is a poem of reverence and a collection of scriptures celebrating the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.

Behold the Lamb

Behold the Lamb of God, who came

To bear the world's tremendous shame.

Not with a crown of gold and gem,

But thorns—He wore them all for them.

Behold the Lamb, so pure, so meek,

Who came the helpless and the weak.

He opened not His mouth to plead,

But bled to meet our deepest need.

Behold the Lamb, without a spot,

The offering that time forgot.

From age to age, the shadows told

Of One whose love would not grow cold.

Behold the Lamb, upon the cross,

Counting all our gain as loss.

He took the wrath that we deserved,

He gave the grace that we've observed.

Behold the Lamb, now raised on high,

Seated at the Father's side.

Yet still the marks of love remain,

The wounds that speak of endless gain.

Behold the Lamb, and look no more

To silver, gold, or earthly store.

For in His face, the glory shines—

The Lamb of God, by love divine.

So let my heart forever gaze

Upon His worth, and sing His praise.

Behold the Lamb, my soul's delight,

My hope, my peace, my life, my light.

A Prayer Before the Lamb

Lord Jesus,

Lamb of God,

I behold You now.

Not with eyes of flesh alone,

But with the eyes of faith.

You are the One who takes away

the sin of the world—

my sin, my shame, my guilt.

You are the Lamb without blemish,

the perfect sacrifice,

the offering once for all.

I bow before You,

not in fear, but in awe.

Worthy are You,

O Lamb of God.

Worthy of my praise,

worthy of my life,

worthy of all I am.

Behold, I come to You,

for You alone are worthy.

Amen.
