Thank You for Loving Me
Before I knew Your name,
Before I could return Your gaze,
Before I ever called to You—
You loved me.
When I wandered far away,
When I chose my own dark way,
When I had nothing left to say—
You loved me.
Not because I earned it,
Not because I deserved it,
Not because I was faithful—
But because You are love.
You loved me when I was unlovable.
You sought me when I was lost.
You held me when I was breaking.
You called me when I was hiding.
Thank You for loving me—
Not for what I do,
But for who You are.
Not for my righteousness,
But for Your mercy.
Your love is relentless,
pursuing me through every failure.
Your love is patient,
waiting for me to come home.
Your love is faithful,
never letting me go.
I cannot earn it.
I cannot repay it.
I can only receive it—
and say, thank You.
Thank You for loving me,
Lord.
With every breath,
with every day,
with all my heart—
thank You.

A Prayer of Gratitude for Love
Father,
I come to You with a heart full of thanks.
Thank You for loving me
before I ever knew Your name.
Thank You for pursuing me
when I ran away.
Thank You for welcoming me home
when I returned in shame.
I did not earn Your love.
I could not deserve it.
But You gave it freely,
without condition,
without end.
Your love found me in my darkness,
held me in my weakness,
carried me through my failures,
and never, ever let me go.
I cannot repay such love.
I can only receive it
and let it change me.
Let Your love flow through me
to others.
Let me love
because You first loved me.
Thank You, Lord.
Thank You for loving me.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
