Holy Communion

 Amen. "Holy Communion" is the sacred meal where we remember the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ—His body broken and His blood poured out for the forgiveness of our sins. It is a time of remembrance, thanksgiving, and intimate fellowship with our Lord.

📖 The Scriptural Foundation

"And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, 'This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.' In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.'" (Luke 22:19-20)

"For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, 'This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.' In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.' For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes." (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

"Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all share the one loaf." (1 Corinthians 10:16-17)

Proclamation We proclaim His death until He returns. "You proclaim the Lord's death until he comes." (1 Corinthians 11:26)

Participation We share in the body and blood of Christ. "A participation in the blood of Christ... in the body of Christ." (1 Corinthians 10:16)

🙏 A Prayer of Preparation

Lord Jesus,

I come before Your table with a humble heart.

I thank You for Your body, broken for me.

I thank You for Your blood, poured out for me.

I thank You for the new covenant sealed in Your love.

Search my heart and cleanse me.

Forgive my sins and make me worthy

To receive this holy meal.

As I take this bread, let me remember Your sacrifice.

As I drink this cup, let me receive Your grace.

As I commune with You, let me be strengthened

In my faith and my love.

"For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes." (1 Corinthians 11:26)
