I cry for your mercy.

Amen. "I cry for Your mercy" is the prayer of a humble heart—a confession that we cannot stand before God on our own merit, but we trust in His compassion. It is the cry of the tax collector, the plea of the psalmist, and the hope of every soul that knows its need for grace.

📖 The Scriptural Foundation

"Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions." (Psalm 51:1)

"The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love." (Psalm 103:8)

"He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities." (Psalm 103:10)

"The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion." (Psalm 116:5)

"Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." (Hebrews 4:16)

💔 What It Means to Cry for Mercy

Crying for Mercy Is... Because... A Scripture to Hold

Humility You recognize your need for God. "God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble." (James 4:6)

Trust You believe that God is compassionate. "The Lord is compassionate and gracious." (Psalm 103:8)

Repentance You turn from sin and toward God. "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out." (Acts 3:19)

Dependence You cannot do it on your own. "Apart from me you can do nothing." (John 15:5)

🙏 A Prayer for Mercy

Father,

I cry out for Your mercy.

I do not deserve Your grace,

But I trust in Your compassion.

Have mercy on me—

According to Your unfailing love,

According to Your great compassion,

Blot out my transgressions.

Wash me clean.

Renew my spirit.

Restore my joy.

I throw myself on Your mercy.

I trust in Your love.

I rest in Your grace.

"Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions." (Psalm 51:1)

In Jesus' name,

Amen.

🕊️ A Declaration of Mercy

I declare today:

God is rich in mercy.

He does not treat me as my sins deserve.

He does not repay me according to my iniquities.

His mercy is new every morning.

His compassion never fails.

His love never ends.

I am not consumed by my sin—

I am covered by His mercy.

"The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion." (Psalm 116:5)

💎 A Final Encouragement

When you cry for mercy, God hears. He does not turn away from a humble and contrite heart. His mercy is greater than your sin, and His love is stronger than your failure. Do not be afraid to cry out to Him. He is listening. He is ready to forgive. He is waiting to restore.

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." (Psalm 23:1)

I cry for Your mercy, Lord—I trust in You. 🙏💙🕊️
