Make us a bless generation.

 Make Us a Blessed Generation

A Reflection on Psalm 112:1-2, Isaiah 61:9, and Deuteronomy 7:9

Make us a blessed generation—not by our own strength or might,

But by the covenant of Your love, by Your eternal light.

Let our children rise and call us blessed, let our lineage be known,

As a people who have placed their trust in You, and You alone.

Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth; the generation of the upright will be blessed. (Psalm 112:1-2)

Rooted in Your righteousness, planted by the stream,

Let our lives bear fruit in season, fulfilling every dream

That You have placed within our hearts for Your glory and Your name.

Let our generation be a light that will not fade or wane.

Make us a blessed generation—not in riches or in gold,

But in the wealth of knowing You, a story yet untold.

Let the fear of the Lord be our foundation,

And Your Word our daily meditation.

Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the Lord has blessed. (Isaiah 61:9)

Bless our children, bless our grandchildren, and the generations to come.

Let the legacy of faith be passed from mother to daughter, from father to son.

Let us not be a generation that forgets Your works,

But a people who remember Your faithfulness, through all the perks and quirks.

We declare: we will not hide Your deeds from the next generation,

We will tell of Your power, Your salvation, Your revelation.

So that they too may set their hope in God,

And not forget the wonders He has trod.

Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commandments. (Deuteronomy 7:9)

Make us a blessed generation—not for our own acclaim,

But that the world may see Your goodness and call upon Your name.

Let the gospel flow through our lineage like a river,

And let our faith in You be our deliverer.

Amen.
