Lord Jesus, You are my Lord and Saviour.

Jesus Is My Lord and Saviour

A Reflection on Romans 10:9, John 14:6, and Acts 4:12

Jesus is my Lord and Saviour—not a title, not a creed,

But the living, breathing reality that meets my deepest need.

He is the One who found me when I wandered far astray,

Who paid my debt upon the cross and turned my night to day.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

My Lord—the Sovereign of my life, the King upon the throne,

Yet He bends to wash my feet and calls me as His own.

He rules not with an iron fist, but with a shepherd’s care.

His yoke is easy, His burden light; His presence meets me there.

My Saviour—the Lamb who took my sin, who bore my guilt and shame,

Who drank the cup of wrath for me, who whispered out my name.

He did not wait for me to clean my act or make amends.

He loved me as His enemy and called me more than friend.

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

So I declare it boldly: Jesus is my Lord and Saviour.

Not by my works, but by His grace, I have found His favor.

No other name in heaven or earth can rescue from the fall.

Jesus is my Lord and Saviour—He is my all in all.

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

Amen.
