It's all about you, Jesus.

 It's All About You, Jesus

A Reflection on Colossians 1:18, Revelation 4:11, and John 3:30

It's all about You, Jesus—not about my plans or fame,

Not about my achievements, not about my name.

You are the center, the beginning and the end,

The Alpha and Omega, my Savior and my Friend.

He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything He might have the supremacy. (Colossians 1:18)

It's all about You—the cross, the empty grave,

The victory over death, the power to save.

It's not about my goodness, my efforts, or my strength,

But about Your grace that goes to any length.

You are the reason I wake up each day,

The reason I worship, the reason I pray.

You are the melody, the harmony, the song,

The One to whom all creation belongs.

“Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things.” (Revelation 4:11)

It's all about You, Jesus—not about my needs,

But about Your glory, Your purposes, Your deeds.

When I sing, let it be for You;

When I serve, let it be for You;

When I live, let it be for You,

In everything I say and do.

May I decrease and You increase,

May Your name be the one that brings release.

I am not the center; I am not the King.

It's all about You, Jesus—to You my heart will sing.

He must become greater; I must become less. (John 3:30)

So take my life, Lord—it is Yours.

My hopes, my dreams, my future, my doors.

Not for my glory, but for Your name,

Let all of my life proclaim the same:

It's all about You, Jesus—now and forever,

My anchor, my refuge, my great endeavor.

In life, in death, in joy, in pain,

It's all about You—and I will not be the same.

Amen.
