A Simple Prayer of Gratitude

Thank You, Lord—for breath and morning light,

For strength to rise, for sleep at night.

For daily bread, for grace to share,

For knowing that You’re always there.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. (Psalm 118:1)

Thank You for the cross, the empty grave,

For every soul You came to save.

For mercy new each breaking dawn,

For hope that keeps me holding on.

Thank You for the trials that made me strong,

For every tear, for every song.

For friends who love, for family true,

For all the ways You see me through.

In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

So I lift my hands and voice to say:

Thank You, Lord, for this very day.
