Bless Our Father in Heaven
A Prayer from Matthew 6:9, Numbers 6:24-26, and Ephesians 3:14-15
Bless our Father in heaven—the One who sits on high,
Yet bends to hear our whispers, to catch our every cry.
He is not distant, cold, or far,
But the Father who runs to meet us, the bright and morning star.
“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.” (Matthew 6:9)
Bless Him for His mercy—new every single day,
For His steadfast love that never, ever fades away.
Bless Him for His goodness—for the blessings He bestows,
For the kindness that He shows us, for the grace that overflows.
Bless Him in our worship, in our work, in our rest.
Bless Him in our trials, when we are put to the test.
Bless Him with our voices, with the lifting of our hands,
With the offering of our lives, in obedience to His commands.
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace. (Numbers 6:24-26)
For He is the Father of all who believe,
The One who receives us and will never leave.
He is the Father of compassion, the God of all comfort and peace,
The One whose love for us will never, ever cease.
Bless our Father in heaven—not just with words alone,
But with a life that honors Him, a heart that is His throne.
Let our lives be a blessing, a fragrance, a song,
That brings Him glory all the day long.
For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. (Ephesians 3:14-15)
Bless our Father in heaven—the Ancient of Days,
The Alpha, the Omega, the One who is worthy of praise.
From everlasting to everlasting, He is God,
And blessed be His name forever—His love, His grace, His rod.
