As high as Heaven.

 As High as Heaven

A Reflection on Psalm 103:11-12

As high as heaven above the earth,

So high is His love for those who fear Him,

A measure beyond our mortal worth,

A mercy that draws us ever near Him.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him. (Psalm 103:11)

As far as the east is from the west,

So far has He removed our transgressions.

No shadow of sin can disturb our rest,

For He has granted us full remission.

The heavens are high—beyond our sight,

Yet His love is higher, deeper, wider.

It reaches the fallen, lifts the contrite,

And makes the wounded soul a rider

On wings of grace that never tire.

As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. (Psalm 103:12)

So I will not count the distance of my sin from me,

I will trust that His mercy has set it eternally free.

As high as heaven, as vast as the sky,

His love and forgiveness will never run dry.

Amen.
