 God Will Show a Way

A Reflection on Isaiah 43:16-19

God will show a way—when the path is lost and dark,

When the road ahead is hidden, and hope is just a spark.

When the mountains loom before you, when the seas refuse to part,

He is the God who makes a way, who speaks light into the dark.

Thus says the Lord, who makes a way through the sea and a path through the mighty waters. (Isaiah 43:16)

He will show a way through the wilderness of doubt,

Through the desert of despair, when you cannot find a route.

He will make a stream in the wasteland, a river in the dry,

And from the barren ground, His blessing will arise.

When there seems to be no door, no opening, no key,

He will open what no man can shut, and set your spirit free.

He is not bound by human limits, not by time or circumstance.

His ways are higher, His plans advance.

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:19)

God will show a way—not always the way you planned,

But the way that leads to the promised land.

Sometimes through the fire, sometimes through the flood,

But always covered by His blood.

He will show a way when you are weak and worn,

When you feel abandoned and forlorn.

He will lift you up on eagles' wings,

And teach your heart to trust and sing.

I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. (Isaiah 45:2)

So trust in the God who makes a way,

When every voice says, "You cannot stay."

He is the Way, the Truth, the Life,

The calm in the storm, the peace in the strife.

God will show a way. He always does.

He is faithful, He is true, He is love.

So walk by faith, not by sight,

And in His way, you will find light.
