No More Fear
A Reflection on 2 Timothy 1:7, 1 John 4:18, and Isaiah 41:10
No more fear—the spirit that once held me tight,
The sleepless nights, the endless, anxious fight.
Not that danger disappears or trials cease,
But Your perfect love has wrapped me in a perfect peace.
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear. (1 John 4:18)
No more fear of failure—I am loved not for my score.
No more fear of rejection—I belong to something more.
No more fear of tomorrow—You already hold the day.
No more fear of death—the grave has lost its sting, its sway.
For God has not given me a spirit of fear,
But of power, love, and a sound mind, crystal clear.
The same power that raised Jesus lives inside of me.
So I will not be afraid; I will walk in victory.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
When the enemy whispers lies, I answer with Your word.
When my heart begins to tremble, I remember what I heard:
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, help you, hold you with My righteous right hand.”
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)
No more fear. I declare it over my life today.
Fear, you have no authority; you must go away.
Perfect love has cast you out; the Son has set me free.
No more fear. I will trust in Him who holds eternity.
Amen.
